Dating and Coronavirus: Can you still kiss and go on dates during social distancing?

Whether you are newly dating or are in a long-term relationship coronavirus (COVID-19) is impacting young people and their romantic relationships.

New advice on how to help slow the spread of the coronavirus seems to update every few days, especially if you live in a place where there has been an increase of cases.
In general, we’re being advised to practice social distancing, keeping 2 meters apart where possible and avoiding gatherings of 6 people or more and to avoid going into other people’s households.
There are still a lot of unknowns about exactly how the coronavirus is spread, but scientists say it’s spread through droplets from the nose and mouth—saliva or any nasal secretions.

So, that means that whenever you’re very close to your date or partner and through kissing or cuddling or any kind of sexual activity — you could be at putting yourself at risk and exposing yourself to the virus.

Key advise from health professionals is unless you live with your partner, you should try to limit physical contact as much as possible.
